Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in 2009. The group is composed of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They first signed with Nick
Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new label.
The group starred in Nickelodeon's TV series with the same name, Big Time Rush.
From November 28, 2009 to July 25 in 2013, the show ran. The pilot episode
featured the group's debut promotional single, "Big Time Rush". The
band has released three albums, including BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 and
24/Seven in 2013. In 2014, the band took an indefinite break which lasted until
2021. The group then resumed live shows and then released "Call It Like I
See It". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 while
simultaneously airing the television series Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon then
partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to produce the show and
provide music that was original to the series. For the show, their first single,
"Big Time Rush" was released on the 29 on the 29th of November.
Officially announced by Nickelodeon the show was first shown in the U.S. in
November 2009 and then released globally. It debuted during a preview of the
series. The theme is the current theme for the show's opening. The series also
saw releases of promotional singles including "City is Ours" and
"Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered a Play song titled
"Famous". The track was released to iTunes on June 29th the 29th of
June, 2010. After its series premiere another track, "Halfway There",
was made available on iTunes on April 27, 2010. The track quickly became the
first track to be charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93 ,
thanks to the sales of digital music. On September 21 the 21st of September,
2010 Big Time Rush released second single "Till I Forget About You"
in order to announce the release of their debut album. The album, BTR came out
on the 11th of October, 2010. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. It
sold the album at 67,000 copies in its first week.
