Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, actor and musician, is famous for his sharp-witted and sly roles in action movies. He has been in over $2.5 billion in films. Walter Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein (West Germany) to Marlene Kassel and David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point New Jersey), both of them living on a United States military base. His family moved to U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was born in Penns Grove by his mother who worked for an institution, and his father who was a welder, was a factory worker and welder. Willis was drawn to drama in high school. While working in the New York City café, he was allegedly "discovered". He then went on to appear in a handful of off-Broadway productions. He was bartending when a casting director noticed his personality and asked him to be bartender in a tiny movie. Willis was a candidate for a variety of roles in movies, but he was not credited. He ultimately got the role of David Addison, a private eye, along with Cybill Shepherd in the romantic comedy series Moonlighting (1985). His sarcastic and wisecracking P.I. Many view it as an opportunity to practice for Willis his role in Die Hard (1988), where he defeated the gang of thieves who were stealing from an Los Angeles skyscraper. In Die Hard 2 (1990) Willis reprised his character. A group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers is trying to restore a corrupt South American general. They are set in Washington's Dulles International Airport. A record-breaking box office performance prompted an additional sequel, Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) and this time with co-star Samuel L. Jackson as the sly Harlem shop owner who is accidentally dragged into assisting McClane in a bombing campaign on a sweltering day in New York.
