Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. Her first feature film appearance was a tiny role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donnevan's role as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was offered by a professional photographer. The result was an impressive modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting career. When she was dragged into the sights to the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was selected as one of the top twelve promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was still only aged 18 at the time of her debut in the Bond part. As of today, she is the youngest Bond girl. Another early movie played a tiny part in the film as IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. Her first lead role was in an episode from 1988 of the Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody co-starred in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud named the Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. After a long absence from the stage Doody was back in the acting world with a small role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an awards ceremony scene. She was in the film together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Later, she guest-starred on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to appear in a remake in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. In 2011 she began the second season in the E4 comedy show Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. She was given the Almeria tierra de cinema award on 21 November 2018.
